The BIPOC Writing Party Reading Series began in the summer of 2020 as a way to showcase the amazing talent and energy our community was sharing each Monday night. We wanted to bring our voices and words to the wider world through a public reading series.
Led by Raychelle Heath, the Reading Series team has included Hari Alluri, Miguel Angeles, Lily Chien-Davis, Rosa De Anda, Caroline M. Mar, and Mona Washington. We feature four writers from the BIPOC Writing Community. Donations are gathered during the reading to pay writers for their labor and gather funds to pay Black and Indigenous guest hosts.
